Springfield, Missouri, ranks in top ten metros recognized as Recovery Leaders in US

In their 10th annual Rankings Report, Business Facilities magazine recognized Springfield, Missouri as the no. 4 Recovery Leader in the US.

The Recovery Leaders category showcases metros that have made the biggest comebacks during the Recession. For this ranking, Business Facilities examined the MSAs that have had the most impressive surges in job creation, wages and salaries in the past year.

Missouri was recognized at the top of the list as well ranking no. 6 for Best Infrastructure and no. 3 for Lowest Industrial Electricity Rates. These acknowledgments reinforce the growth of the region over the last several years. With a metro area of nearly 450,000, Springfield, Missouri, has added over 7,000 jobs over the course of two years and has experienced a steady decrease in unemployment with a current rate of 4.3%.
