Springfield Ranks 9th Among Best Cities for Hispanic Entrepreneurs

Springfield, Missouri, was recognized as the 9th best city for Hispanic entrepreneurs in a recent list by WalletHub.  The study examined 21 metrics within two specific categories: Hispanic Business-Friendliness and Hispanic Purchasing Power, and compared the performance of the 150 most populated U.S. cities in each category.  Per the methodology of the study, the metrics for each category were collectively graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the most favorable conditions for Hispanic entrepreneurs.

WalletHub ranked Springfield 10th in Hispanic business-friendliness and 17th in Hispanic purchasing power, with an overall total score of 52.38, according to the list.

In 2010, the U.S. Census Bureau indicated that Hispanics made up 3.7 percent of Springfield’s population of 159,441.
